| This bar owner also runs a small makeshift community radio at the back of the bar. Above his bar's ceiling there is a loudspeaker and the reach of his radio is how far people can hear its noisy sound. He claims the radio's main goal is to communicate to people their community's affairs, but it's well known locally that it's used by "gatos" to attract workers. Nowadays the use of such radios is one of the most common ways to entice workers to follow "gatos" to faraway farms. |
